TwitExport FAQ

If you have any questions that are not answered here, don’t hesitate to contact us.

I use iPhoto2Twitter or Aperture2Twitter. It doesn’t work anymore. What’s happening?

Because of some changes with Twitter, iPhoto2Twitter and Aperture2Twitter have been replaced by TwitExport. It’s a free update for existing users. Download it here.

How do I install the plugin?

Once you’ve downloaded the software from this link, just run the downloaded installer. You’ll get the option to install the plug-in for iPhoto, Aperture or both.

I’ve installed the plugin. How do I start it?

In iPhoto, go to the File menu and select Export. You should see TwitExport there.
In Aperture you can select File > Export > TwitExport from the Menu bar or you can use the contextual menu.

Can I make a keyboard shortcut for TwitExport?

In iPhoto, the standard keyboard shortcut is Shift-Command-E. In Aperture you can create a custom keyboard shortcut in the Aperture > Commands > Customize menu.

Is it possible to attach more than one photo?

Yes. If you select more than one photo when opening the plug-in, all selected photos will be sent to TwitPic or Mobypicture. Only one tweet will be sent to Twitter though. That tweet will inlude the link to the photo that is shown in the plug-in window (the first photo).

Is there a filesize limit for uploading photos?

Yes. The limit is 5 MB. If you have a file that’s larger than that, you should select a smaller size in the Fit Within or Export Size menu.

How can I uninstall TwitExport?

In the Finder, you can delete the plugins from these locations:
(that’s the Library in your home folder)

for iPhoto:
~/Library/Application Support/iPhoto/Plugins/iPhoto2Twitter.iPhotoExporter

for Aperture:
~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/Export/Aperture2Twitter.ApertureExport
