Today, Apple has released Aperture 3. If you use the Aperture2Twitter or Impression plug-ins, the first thing you’ll notice is that, when you open the plug-in, Aperture tells you that it is 32-bit and that the application needs to restart in 32-bit mode to use it. I’m working on moving both plugins to 64-bit and aim to release updates later this week.

My initial testing reveals that there’s a small issue with Aperture2Twitter when using it with Aperture 3. It seems that the preview image that’s shown in the plug-in window is not correctly scaled to fit the size of the view. This does however not influence the size of the photo that is sent to TwitPic or Mobypicture. I’ll fix this together with the 64-bit update.

I haven’t found any problems with Impression so far. Let me know if you see something that’s not working as expected. Thanks!

UPDATE: Impression and Aperture2Twitter are now available with 64-bit support.
